STEP ONE: FREE PHONE CONSULTATION
We will start with a phone consultation to answer your questions, inform you about the process, and determine if we are a good match for each other.
STEP TWO: IN-HOME STRATEGY SESSION
During this 60 minute in-home needs assessment, we will view the areas to be organized and listen to your concerns. We will discuss ways to approach the project, determine your readiness to let go of clutter, and simply get to know each other. We will identify what’s holding you back from getting organized on your own. We will explore what’s going well and build on your strengths.
Goal setting is an important part of this assessment. We will identify achievable goals and create a visualized plan tailored to your specific needs to help you see the big picture. This time together is an investment of $60, which can be credited toward your first organizing session if you decide to work with us.
STEP THREE: HANDS-ON ORGANIZING SESSIONS
Congratulations! We now get to set a date to get started! Our hands-on organizing sessions have a three-hour session minimum. We work side by side with our clients, and all decisions are made by the clients. We won’t make you get rid of anything you don’t want to, but we will ask questions to help you make thoughtful decisions. During this time, we analyze and recommend new systems and offer space planning and product advice if needed.
The basic processes of sorting, purging, containerizing, placement, and removing trash are customized to your needs. We will be respectful of your pace. There is a methodical way to sort and make decisions about your possessions.
You make all final decisions about what to release. For items that you no longer need, we can help create piles to donate, sell, recycle/repurpose, discard, or give to family members if they are receptive to that option.
Relocation of items helps ease some of the anxiety about letting go. We help you work with consignment or donation organizations, and we take an environmentally conscious approach to recycle, reuse, donate, or discard the items you have chosen to let go. We will also coordinate pick-up services for large donation items, and paper shredding of confidential documents.
At the end of the session, we can schedule our next appointment. Some of our clients pay session by session, while others opt for a discounted, pre-paid package. Your timeline and pace is carefully considered to make sure your goals are met. There is never any pressure to do more, clean more, or take another step if you are not ready. Remember, the cleanliness of your home is not a reflection of your value as a person. You matter, and we want you to just find more peace as we help you declutter, one piece at a time.
